about
I'm a big fan of post-rock bands such as This Will Destroy You and Godspeed You! Black Emperor so I tried to recreate something in this style using LSDj, this track was the result of that experiment, a soft rising and descending minor scale that gives way to furiously modulating square waves and noise sounds. This track was written entirely on a gameboy, but some volume correction and reverb effects were added in post-processing.
I have included the SAV file using the link below in case anyone is interested, I made extensive use of tables and the Z (random) command to achieve most of the effects. This track was written on LSDj Version 9.1.C, so previous versions might not work.

this album is basically a 20min stank face. Asides from its absolute filthyness, it is also a sign that after 20 years, there is still A LOT more music to be explored and discovered using the humble gameboy, and as someone new to the chip scene, that fact is incredibly inspiring. - javier/robotmeadows javier
